ATLANTA — It's almost time for the 2025 College Football Playoff National Championship game! Notre Dame and Ohio State are battling for the coveted trophy at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

When is the CFP National Championship? 

The CFP National Championship will take place on Monday, Jan. 20. 

What time is kickoff for CFP National Championship?

Gates open at 4:30 p.m. at The Benz, and kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.

How do you get tickets to the CFP National Championship?

Some tickets are still available for the championship game via Ticketmaster, StubHub, and SeatGeek. However, it'll cost you-- the cheapest 11Alive has seen is around $1,200+ for a single ticket. 

Where do you find parking at Mercedes-Benz Stadium?

Officials with The Benz advise people to plan with parking options. More than 20,000 parking spots are available within a 20-minute walk of the stadium. 

Officials recommend pre-purchasing your parking pass to ensure parking won't sell out before the game. However, officials said to be careful when purchasing parking passes from secondary resale markets.

Yes, there are several other means of transportation to get to Mercedes-Benz stadium besides driving. 

MARTA hours for CFP championship game 

MARTA has expanded its service for the championship game: 

  • Event Access: Take MARTA’s Blue or Green rail lines to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium/State Farm Arena/GWCC or Vine City stations.
  • Security: Clear bags are mandatory at the Georgia World Congress Center and Mercedes-Benz Stadium. MARTA police and Transit Ambassadors will assist passengers.
  • Mobile Fare Options: Download Breeze Mobile 2.0 to pay your fare or purchase tickets in advance.
  • Parking: Visit MARTA’s website to find parking availability near rail stations.

Rideshare options for CFP championship game 

The Benz also offers two rideshare drop-off and pick-up locations near the stadium: 

  • Rideshare Zone 1 is our primary and largest Rideshare Zone, located on Northside Drive in front of Georgia World Congress Center – Building C. Exit the stadium at Gate 1 and head north, following the wayfinding signs along the Northside Drive sidewalk.
  • Rideshare Zone 2 is located on the Centennial Olympic Park Drive sidewalk heading towards State Farm Arena.  Please anticipate increased wait times when using Rideshare for departure.

What is Mercedes-Benz Stadium's bag policy?

For the fastest entry into the stadium, officials recommend not bringing a bag. However, if a bag is necessary, it should meet The Benz's following criteria:

Clear Bags (Plastic, Vinyl, or PVC):

  • Bags that are CLEAR plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12” or 30.5 x 15.25 x 30.5 cm. This includes clear backpacks, clear fanny packs and clear cinch bags that fit within permissible dimensions.
  • No buckles, grommets/hardware or décor can be concealing any part of the bag. 
  • One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag.

Non-Clear Bags

  • Small, non-clear bags that do not exceed 4.5" x 6.5" in size, with or without a handle or strap, can be taken into the stadium with a clear plastic bag.

Mercedes-Benz Stadium has a seating capacity of 71,000 for football games.
