Truck crashes into Winston-Salem diner after sliding off road

A truck crashed into 66 Diner in Winston-Salem on Friday night.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A scary situation played out in Winston-Salem on Friday night, as a driver lost control of their truck and crashed into 66 Diner on Old Hollow Road.

The incident occurred around 8 p.m. as things had switched over to mostly sleet in Winston-Salem. The diner had closed at 4 and no one was in the building at the time of the accident. The driver of the truck escaped the incident uninjured.

The following photos were provided to WFMY News 2, showing the carnage left behind after the truck made contact with the building. The damage to the outside of the diner was extensive.
