'Coach K' to be inducted into FIBA Hall of Fame

He led Duke University to five national championships.

DURHAM, N.C. — Former Duke University basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski has been selected to be inducted into the FIBA Hall of Fame. 

Krzyzewski, nicknamed by many as ‘Coach K’, led Duke to 13 NCAA Final Four appearances and five national championships. 

Krzyzewski served as Team USA’s head basketball coach during several Olympic games. At the Olympics 2008, 2012, & 2016 he helped Team USA clinch the gold medal. 

He also led Team USA to the FIBA World Championship gold medal in 2010 & 2014. 

Members of the FIBA Hall of Fame Class of 2025 will be celebrated at a ceremony on May 17. The ceremony will happen along with the FIBA Mid-Term Congress in Bahrain.
