White Knoll quarterback commits to Presbyterian College

Landon Sharpe was a dual-threat performer whose junior season saw him help the Timberwolves advance to the program's first state championship appearance.

LEXINGTON, S.C. — After helping White Knoll become one of the better 5A programs in the state, quarterback Landon Sharpe has mapped out his next destination.

He announced on social media that he has committed to Presbyterian College.

Sharpe was a dual threat for the Timberwolves, who reached the 5A state finals in his junior season.

This past season, Sharpe helped White Knoll advance to the 5A Lower State championship, where the Timberwolves lost a 29-25 decision to Irmo. He finished the season with 2,765 yards and 31 touchdowns passing. On the ground, Sharpe rushed for 568 yards and seven touchdowns.

Sharpe's final game on the high school level was in last month's Touchstone Energy Cooperatives Bowl, where he suited up for the South team and served as a captain. In that game, Sharpe threw a 74-yard touchdown pass to River Bluff's Aaron Griffin.
