KERSHAW, S.C. — Last month, the North Central volleyball team concluded an unbeaten season (33-0-1) with a 3-0 win over Ninety Six in the 2A state championship.
It marked the first state title for the North Central volleyball and two seniors were the catalysts for the run to the title.
Addie Bittner, who will play at Coker University, teamed up with Columbia International University-bound Mary Norwood to lead the Knights to a historic season.
Both players will also major in nursing at their respective university and while they may have played their last math in Knight colors, they have left a permanent mark in that part of Kershaw County known as "Boonetown".
