LEXINGTON, S.C. — Sam Burks is more than a two-way player for Northside Christian Academy. If there is a way for Sam to get his hands on the ball, the Crusader coaches will find it.
In the first round playoff win over First Baptist, Sam actually threw a touchdown pass from his running back position. On that same night, he scored his 50th career touchdown for NCA.
In the classroom, Sam is maintaining a 4.5 grade point average which has him set to be an honor graduate. He says he is getting some mild interest at the next level with three offers hin the fold. Naturally, he is hoping for more as he looks for a school with a good marketing program as he pursues that major.
In the meantime, he will try to lead the Crusaders to win Friday night at Pinewood Prep in the second round of the SCISA state playoffs.
